July 3, 2005 (Press Release) --
A Gary Revel contribution to the 'Blue Eyed Soul' form of musical recordings with a song that is now known to be one of the best loved songs of all time "Unchained Melody". This cover of the The Righteous Brothers hit brings a Tom Krummell production together with the inspiring vocal by Gary Revel.
There is no doubt that Bill Medley and Bobby Hatfield could never be forgotten as the duo that made the song the classic that it is today but Gary's vocal performance leads all to feel the power of those lyrics as he wraps himself in and around them in this recording.
'Unchained Melody' the song with words by Hy Zaret and music by Alex North was first released in a 1955 prison-farm film titled "Unchained", then the Righteous Brothers single of the same name and later on the Righteous Brothers Greatest Hits album. In the mid 1990's the recording became the theme song to the movie "Ghost" starring Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze. The album soundtrack from that movie was made into a huge hit if for no other reason because of 'Unchained Melody'.

Beyond his recording career, writing, poetry and art, Gary is widely known for another great song and recording, 'They Slew The Dreamer'. The controversial single record was a 1977 front page
news grabbing hit with lyrics that made public certain details of the conspiracy of the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. The story of Gary's investigation into that matter is now being developed for production of a major motion picture based on a screenplay by William Sachs.
