July 7, 2005 (Press Release) --
(PRWEB) May 27, 2005 -- Sure, you expect a show like Lost or Alias to have blogs devoted to them, but what about those defunct shows that haven’t had a new episode in over a decade? In the ever-expanding blogosphere, even cult shows like MacGyver have a blog devoted to them. MacGyver News (http://www.macgyvernews.com) claims to give fans a weekly updated dose of MacGyver info despite the fact that not much seems to happen involving a long gone television show. Owner of the MacGyver News blog, Bret Terrill says that he’s amazed how often references to MacGyver pop up in the daily news. He chafes at the frequent reference to homemade bombs as “MacGyver bombs”. “I mean, c’mon, just because some idiot puts some bleach and some gasoline in a bottle and blows it up, doesn’t make it a MacGyver bomb. It just makes it a “moron bomb”. According to Terrill, the real interesting stuff is the homemade electronics projects that you can find all over the web: “Somebody figured out how to make a MP3 player out of an Altoids tin, that’s a MacGyver move.” Yep, it’s a big blogosphere out there, the Mr. Ed blog should be appearing any day now.

In the ever-expanding blogosphere, even defunct TV shows like MacGyver have someone covering them twenty-hours a day.
