July 10, 2005 (Press Release) --
The overall goal of ShareNotes is to create an online study-group community. ShareNotes is a place where you can easily get notes for the classes you miss, or fill in the notes you have already taken. ShareNotes utilizes the latest in Microsoft technology, OneNote, to ensure top quality notes. By using MS OneNote, we are able to provide our ‘full’ members with Shared-Session links. Shared-Sessions are a way to do live collaborative note taking on your computer in class. In addition to class notes, you will also find old tests, quizzes, and lab reports.
Since the birth of ShareNotes in late May of 2005, we have had over 140 students sign up for membership, which of course is free. ShareNotes members have access to all of the posted notes & materials, and a major discount on all e-books. Furthermore, ShareNotes ‘Full’ members will be allowed to sell their own notes, tests, quizzes, and lab reports to non members via the ShareNotesStore. This is where the “ipod referrals” enter the equation. In order to become a ShareNotes “full” member, you will have to complete a promotion listed on the ShareNotes Promotions page. The promotions listed on the Promotions page are the ‘free ipod’ like promotions, mostly provided by the Gratis Network. As ShareNotes expands to different universities, more and more students will sign up for our website. This means, more and more promotions will get their needed referrals. ShareNotes members are allowed to purchase, for a small negotiable fee, referral space on the Promotions page. This means YOUR promotions will get their needed referrals. As I said before, in the last few weeks of Spring 2005 Semester we received over 140 new members. Imagine how many new members we will get in the semesters to come as we get more note takers.
This brings us to the ‘making money’ part of this PR release. ShareNotes is actively searching for new note takers at different universities. Note Takers are ShareNotes members who take notes in the classes they are enrolled in, or provide their past notes. They set their own prices to regular members (members who have not completed a promotion). Note Takers will be able to sell their notes, tests, lab reports, or whatever they want to sell, at the ShareNotes Store. During final exam week at the University of Texas @ Austin, one of our ShareNotes Note Takers made over $120 selling their semester notes for ONE class. There is no limit to what you can make. Class materials are converted into a secure E-Book that is unique to each user who downloads it. This means that users will not be able to share the notes they purchased. The conversion of notes to E-Book is a free service.
If you are interested in becoming a ShareNotes Note Taker, or want to join ShareNotes to list your promotion in our referral space, visit http://sharenotes.essayqueen.com or http://www.homework4referrals.com/notes to fill out an application.
