July 13, 2005 (Press Release) --
Cagewarriors are proud to announce the sensational news that another Brazilian behemoth will debut at their Strike Force 2 show on the 16th July, as following in the footsteps of Antonio Silva Junior will be an even bigger fighter in the form of Zuluzinho.
This shocking development was made possible by Anthony McGann the co-owner of the Wolfslair Academy (and head of the Cagewarriors Pro Fight Team) who on a recent trip to Brazil was able to find and convince this 6ft 5in/200cm tall, 341lbs/155kg piece of MMA folklore to come to the UK and fight in the premier Cagewarriors brand this Saturday night
McGann was previously responsible for bringing the outstanding Antonio Silva Junior who has already name a huge name for himself since he was brought to the UK back in late 2004. However one could argue that McGann has surpassed himself this time round by bringing Zuluzinho to fight and represent the state-of-the-art Wolfslair Academy in the UK on such short notice.
Zuluzinho who stated in an interview back in June that he already has a fight record of 34-0 with 34 KO’s (which cannot be verified) is also famous for being the son of the infamous Brazilian Streetfighter Rei Zulu, who himself allegedly had a fight record of 140-0, before being defeated by the legendary Rickson Gracie twice in the 1980’s.
However unlike his Father, Zuluzinho has a formal training background which has seen him train with both the Brazilian boxing team and BJJ Black Belt Cassio Facanha, which has seen this huge specimen earn a purple belt in BJJ. Zuluzihno has already courted controversy by announcing in Tatame Magazine that he wishes to avenge his Father and challenge the Gracie family (who many will argue are responsible for bringing not only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu but also Mixed Martial Arts to the world)
Due to his family history and imposing size Zuluzinho has already caught the eye of many and was allegedly due to fight in a future edition of Wallid Ismail’s Jungle Fight, but will instead be making his first significant and legitimate MMA performance at Cagewarriors Strike Force 2 on July 16th, where he will be facing the 265lbs/120kg Polish powerhouse Rafal Dabrowski.
The entire Cagewarriors team would like to thank Rafal for accepting this fight as he was originally lined up to face Antonio Silvia Junior and later on Feddy Sukata who pulled out this week due to injury. However instead of backing out, Dabrowski underlined his warrior sprit by accepting a fight with the man ADCC News called “The Brazilin Bob Sapp”. Both men are now ready to test their skills in the 32ft CWFC Octagon in what should be another highly anticipated clash of the giants at Cagewarriors Strike Force 2, at the Skydome Arena, Coventry, England on the 16th July.
