July 14, 2005 (Press Release) --
Today, Associated Content officially released the first public version of its content library and publishing technologies. The announcement follows
four months of beta testing during which the new media company has assembled a diverse collection of contributors, or Content Producers, who have
published thousands of pages of information on a range of popular and niche topics. Because of the content’s broad consumer appeal and viral nature,
the Company’s redesigned website, www.associatedcontent.com, is one of the fastest growing properties on the Internet.
“We’re facilitating the build-out of a massive web and wireless information source constructed by the public, for the public’s consumption,” says Luke
Beatty, the Company’s president. “It is the first user driven content exchange. Individuals with information can be properly published in an
environment where those looking for that content will discover it, interact with it and build on it. The result is a venue where information users
and producers meet to organically grow a library and network with one another.”
The first public version allows users to interact on various levels. The public can access, evaluate and react to existing information. Thousands of
users have taken the next step to become a Content Producer and publish their own multiple format information on an exclusive or non-exclusive basis.
Currently, Associated Content’s library is made up of text and image submissions that accurately meet consumers’ search queries and informational
needs. In the near future, Content Producers will be able to contribute voice and video content as well. The Company is supported by a unique
revenue model that allows top Content Producers to share in the advertising revenue that is generated by their published content.
With recent growth in the web and wireless content space, along with dramatic increases in online ad spending, Associated Content is positioned to
capitalize on its unique model.
