Hunting For Monster Sharks…2000 Feet Down
San Francisco, California- In his continuing search for the world’s great sharks CEO and adventurer Patric Douglas spent 6 hours on a sea cliff wall recently-at a crush depth of 2000 feet-staring into the deep green eyes and huge teeth of a 19 foot pre historic Six Gill shark. "It was a pinnacle moment for me, surrounded by an eerily quiet moonscape and deep water creatures that I had never seen before outside of a marine lab...I thought at that moment that it does not get much better than this". The shark in question was bigger than the submersible he was in and had a “funny habit” of pushing the sub towards the marine drop off that disappeared down another 10, 0000 feet. “She was a magnificently big, toothy beast” says Douglas. Shark Diver is the only commercial shark diving operation on the planet to offer deep submarine adventures to dive with this rare species of monster shark (Hexanchus griseus ) off the Cayman Trench. “The goal of our company is to fuse solid shark research with new and exciting shark discoveries, and tie it all in with clients who are looking for the next great shark encounter site…well, I think we just found it!” he said with a wry smile. Starting in 2006 this site will be available to divers and adventure seekers from all over the planet.

The vehicle in question is the first of it’s kind to use three diving sphere’s in one submersible, giving the clients a much larger view port to encounter deep water life. “Aside from a shark this huge bumping you around a bit, it’s an encounter that takes you beyond imagination”.
Douglas and his staff have discovered Great White sharks off the coast of San Diego at Isla Guadalupe, rare deep water species off the coast of Roatan and recently pack hunting Salmon Sharks in Alaska.
