July 22, 2005 (Press Release) --
SANDY, Utah - July 2005 - Bikini Cuts, America’s hottest hair salon, today announced that company founder, stylist and poster girl Bethany Prince has been named a semifinalist in Maxim magazine’s "Hometown Hotties" contest.
Prince, who is among Maxim’s 100 semifinalists in the magazine’s nationwide contest, is vying for a spot among the coveted final 10 Maxim "Hometown Hotties." Online voting, which narrowed the field to its current number and ends July 8, is still in progress at http://www.maximonline.com/hotties/voting/.
"It’s an honor to be nominated among the Maxim top 100 Hometown Hotties in the country," Prince said. "I’m sure there were many deserving entrants vying for Hometown Hotties status, so to even be considered is a privilege in itself. I’m thankful to everyone that has and continues to vote for me."
Maxim’s Hometown Hotties contest began in 2003 and had 1,900 entries this year. Weekly voting determined which entrants advanced to the next round and which were eliminated, only two from Utah were nominated to Maxim’s top 100.
Bikini Cuts made headlines when it opened the doors of its first salon in October 2003, featuring sarong-and-bikini-clad stylists, waiting area massage chairs, high-definition flat screen TV monitors playing macho videos or 24-hours sports channels, and magazines catering to a primarily male audience. A standard man’s haircut at Bikini Cuts, with shampoo, style and scalp massage is $25.00, while a standard woman’s haircut, with shampoo and blow dry also starting at $25.00. Complete pricing can be found online at http://www.bikinicuts.com/bikini_cuts_rates.html.
