Animal Rescue Groups Help Celebrate The Birthday Of An African Spurred Tortoise

Harleysville, PA – July 25, 2005 – Pet lovers of all ages will be gathering on Saturday, August 6, 2005 from 10:00am to 4:00pm at Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws to celebrate the birthday of local African Spurred Tortoise named Percy. Throughout the day, the public will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of activities and refreshments. Activities and exhibits will include a petting zoo, face painting, pet photography, food vendors, animal rescue exhibits, free gifts, and special sales. Fins, Feathers, Paws & Claws is located at 436 Main Street, Harleysville, PA.
“Birthday parties are great fun for kids of all ages, but this one is something different,” explains Tom Herron, store owner. “Every year our customers look forward to celebrating Percy’s birthday with us. In addition to the sale, they love the petting zoo and other things we have to offer patrons. This year we decided to extend the invitation to animal rescue groups to set up their booths!”
Several animal rescue groups, including Last Chance Ranch Horse rescue, will be attending this year’s event to answer questions about their animals and allow visitors to meet their adoptable animals.
