A workshop, on how to learn innovative and proven techniques to improve your skills in preparing more successful grant proposals, will be held from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. August 17th at the Mark Twain Hotel, 225 NE Adams St. in Peoria, Illinois.
Conducted by Don Myers, a 25-year veteran of writing, evaluating and managing local, state and federal grants for two Western states, the workshop will cover finding sources of grants, mistakes to avoid, types of grants available, major components of a grant proposal and finding Internet funding sources, among other subjects.
Open to representatives and employees of municipal, county, state, school and nonprofit organizations, workshop fees are $195 per person for professionals and $145 for those connected with nonprofit organizations. Group rates are available upon request.
