For Immediate Release Trafford publishing has released through their self-publishing company the memoir of Springfield, Massachusetts aspiring author, Warren J. Smith.
For_Immediate_Release:

August 2, 2005 (Press Release) -- The memoir Enemies in Disguise portrays some valuable life lessons about friendship, betrayal and how easily the American dream can be distorted into a living nightmare.

Enemies in Disguise is the true story of Travis Alexander, a charismatic young man who was lucky to leave the Jamaican police force to come to the United States after politicians and gang members put out a hit on his head. Once in the U.S. Travis called Becker, an old friend living in Miami. Enticed by his friend’s luxurious lifestyle, the clubs, the women and the popularity, Travis decides he wanted to stay.

Travis left Miami to Springfield Massachusetts for Maria, a vacationing woman he met in Jamaica while on the police force. Instead of taking it slow, Travis met Charlie, a big time Jamaican drug dealer. Lured by the promises of easy money and women, Travis started dealing and getting sexually active with a variety of beautiful women, which ultimately became his downfall. He later became a suspect in an armored car robbery. Luckily, the FBI released him after he promised them that he would help them retrieve the stolen money. He sent the FBI on a wild goose chase hoping they wouldn’t find out that it was all a gimmick. Travis’s saga becomes an ironic morality tale.

Says Smith, “Everyday I live I’m blessed. It’s true that life is what a person makes it. You can’t sow corn and expect to reap peanuts. Choosing to write this book has helped me to let go of my past failures. It’s a story that had to be told. Letting go of your past is the only way you’ll be able to move on. I hope people will see me as an example of what can happen when you give in to lust, wanton desires, and let your guard down by trusting everyone around you. I want Enemies in Disguise to be an eye opener for people who are blind to the way other people use them and pretend to be loyal. If you really want to know your friends just lay down and pretend to be dead.”
