SLIP N SLIDE RECORDS CELEBRATES TEN YEARS
OF SUCCESS “MIAMI STYLE”…LABOR DAY WEEKEND
(Miami, Florida) South Florida based Slip-N-Slide records will celebrate their ten year anniversary this upcoming Labor Day weekend. Recognized by many as the record label that truly positioned Miami on the map, Slip-N-Slide has for ten solid years put out some of the industry’s biggest hits. With such artists as Trina (a.k.a “The Diamond Princess”) and the release of her 3rd album entitled “The Glamorous Life” and Trick Daddy also on the label, it’s no wonder why Slip-N-Slide has become synonymous with cutting edge stars and chart-topping music.
After Friday, September 2nd through Monday September 5th, Miami will still feel the shockwaves from the Slip-N-Slide weekend. This will be a celebration unlike any other. The management team has conjured up festivities that will include a by-invitation-only cocktail at a private mansion on South Beach September 2nd. Day two includes a yacht party, and an A-list party hosted at one of Miami’s newest hotspots that evening. Guests can dance under the stars at a formal reception at Parrot Jungle Island on day three. Who can turn down an old fashioned barbeque complete with soul food? That’s on day four. Slip-N-Slide’s team have been tight lipped about details on the events which will include some major surprises, top performances as well as some of entertainment’s biggest names who will be present to help blow out the candles. Expect a lot of “bling”….
Led by renowned executive Ted “Touche” Lucas, president and CEO of SNS and a slew of local artists, Miami’s favorite record label will welcome hundreds of top figures in the music and entertainment industry as they toast to an exciting occasion and major achievement- a tenth birthday in the 305 area code and the industry as a whole. Slip-N-Slide and its artists have been recognized in local, regional and national press throughout the last decade. The label has reached such accolades as the Miami Award’s “Top Independent Record Label” and the Source’s #1 Independent Record Label in the state of Florida. Not to mention, the SNS family has also been recently featured in the August edition of the Source Magazine. Lucas specifically has been spotlighted in national press including Vibe Magazine, which included him in their “Major Player in the Game” focus in 2001 and a member of the Source’s “Top Power 30” consecutively for the last four years.
When asked for his plans for the label within the next few years Lucas stated: “I would like to take Slip-N-Slide to a new level and become one of the major Record Labels in the Music Business, similar to Interscope Records.” Another one of more immediate goals is to expand to other genres of music.” Ted Lucas and the entire Slip-N-Slide family wish to thank South Florida, fans and the entire music industry for the great support they have received through the last several years and welcome all lovers of urban music to come and celebrate in “MIA” on Labor Day Weekend. A portion of all proceeds will benefit Concerned Citizens for Miami-Dade County Schools and the Miami Coalition against Crime
