Poppy Ridge Golf Course is hosting the 2nd Annual celebrity golf tournament which benefits the California Independent Film Festival. The shotgun tournament starts at 10am on October 28th.

Film and Television Actor Mickey Jones from the 1996 golf comedy “Tin Cup” and television’s “Home Improvement” will host this year’s event.
Livermore, CA – Poppy Ridge Golf Course is hosting the 2nd Annual “Movies, Mulligans and Merlot” celebrity golf tournament which benefits the California Independent Film Festival. The shotgun tournament starts at 10am on October 28th, and includes box breakfast, golf, range balls, tee prizes, and awards banquet for $195/player.
Along with tournament host Mickey Jones, a few of this years celebrity guests will include, Actress Danica McKellar of the “West Wing”, “NYPD Blue” and “The Wonder Years”, Actor Paul Linke of “Parentood” and “Judging Amy”, veteran Actor and Producer Richard VanVleet who played Dr. Chuck Tyler in the television soap opera “All My Children” and Christopher Knight best known for his role as Peter in the television hit series “The Brady Bunch”. The format this year is a four-person scramble. Players should prepare to be on the green all day and then relax with the guest stars at an awards banquet at 4:00pm. During the banquet, there will be entertainment, wine tasting and an auction to raise funds for the California Independent Film Festival.
The California Independent Film Festival (CIFF) supports the production of motion pictures in the Tri Valley area and promotes film education and discussion through the exposition and celebration of independent film. The California Film Festival begins October 26th and runs through October 30th.
Public registration begins today and business sponsorships are also available at all levels.
