Delaware's 1st All Natural & Organic Cookie Company releases 2nd cookie to public on Saturday August 20th ... the "Choco-Bomb."

Milton, DE - August 15, 2005 - Bella's Cookies, Delaware's 1st all-natural and organic cookie company, is the concept of Kelly and Mark Leishear. Inspired by their children, Bella 4 (the face behind the company) and Liam 2, Kelly & Mark began mixing and baking cookies made with only all natural and organic ingredients. "Bella's Cookies contain no trans fats, hydrogenated oils, artificial ingredients, colors or preservatives," said Kelly Leishear, President of Bella's Cookies "little bodies are growing bodies and those things just shouldn't go into little bodies ... they shouldn't go into anyone's body." While the West Coast has been accustomed to eating all natural and organic foods for some time, only recently has their popularity boomed here on the East Coast.
On Saturday August 20th, Bella's Cookies will release their 2nd all-natural and organic cookie to the public, the "Choco-Bomb." "The Choco-Bomb is an all out explosion of chocolate with each bite," said Mark Leishear, Director of Sales and Marketing. The "Choco-Bomb" is a double chocolate cookie loaded with natural cocoa & an assault of chocolate chunks ... firm around the edges and a medium soft center. Forget traditional names for their cookies, Bella's Cookies give each cookie a unique name & more interestingly, each cookie gets it's own special story. "The stories are something my husband wanted to do ... they're neat because they give each cookie an identity & they're something that people of all ages can enjoy" said Kelly.
Bella's Cookies debuts a new cookie every month and a half. Why the wait? "I want people to get excited about a new cookie, like you get excited about a new release from your favorite band," said Mark Leishear "you know when the release date is and you count the days." To date only "Champion Chunk" has been publicly released, however future releases are lined up in both their all-natural and organic line & their vegan "breakfast" line.
The "Choco-Bomb" will sell at $3.50 for a 6.6 oz double pack and will be available for purchase this Saturday at the Cape May-Lewes Ferry Green Market in Lewes, DE. As for the story and look of the "Choco-Bomb" tag, Mark says "it'll be about an unknown baker/scientist and the tag ... well, I won't spoil it, but let’s just say Kelly did a great job with Bella's wardrobe."
