"The alliance is created as a result of AMD's initiative to build a complete ecosystem to enable end-to-end solutions catering to specific industry verticals," said Bina Naidu, Alliance Manager of AMD. "Our first target is the financial sector"
Bloombase will work with AMD's India Engineering Center in Bangalore to push performance limits on their Spitfire hardware security appliances. AMD's latest multi-core and 64-bit technologies are the primary driving forces to the formation of alliance of the two companies. AMD's super-computing technologies will reinforce Bloombase's Spitfire hardware product line to attain next level gigabit wirespeed enterprise data security.
Together with AMD, vendors including Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard and Oracle are also involved in the alliance bringing secure computing to enterprises.
