The ongoing battle for consumers in the gaming market, heats up with Seriously Internet undercutting key players like Game and Amazon

Seriously Internet on a seemingly never ending tide of momentum, have decided to enter
the highly competitive, price driven market of computer games. In an unashamedly antagonistic move, Seriously have set the prices of their games below rivals and to rub further salt into the wound are delivering the games for free.
As you would expect Seriously’s list of titles is bang up-to-date, and so are the prices. For example, Destroy all Humans on Xbox and PS2 for only £25.99, Brother In Arms on the PS2 is £20.99, Mercenaries on Xbox for £21.99, and Dynasty Warriors 5 on PS2 is just £24.99. When compared to players like Game who charge £29.99, £32.99, £29.98, and £32.99 respectively with delivery on top, it’s easy to see how Seriously would ruffle more than just a few feathers.
Speaking to Matt Black earlier he said, “The gaming industry is valued at billions of pounds a year and is very much consumer led. Basically we spotted an area where we thought we could give gamers a better deal than they were used to. Being a gamer myself I feel that the majority of the better games out there were overpriced, now I'm in a position to do something about it. Our aim is to offer new and current titles at prices that’ll surprise, make gamers smile, and keep more money in their pockets.”
Some might say flying in the face of big players is an audacious move for Seriously especially in this market, but the same was said of their broadband deal. Others have been surprised at the inroads they’ve made. Seriously continues to push boundaries and very much seems to thrive from taking on players bigger than themselves and holding more than just their own.
