Bonsai masters will take an untrained tree to transform it into a beautiful bonsai in a short amount of time. The finished bonsai will be available as part of a charity auction. “As part of our commitment to the community, we wanted to make sure we gave back to the institutions that help preserve Asian and Asian American culture,” said Mike Tatsugawa, CEO of the Pacific Media Association. “The quiet art of bonsai headed by the nonprofit organizations in our community is something we will definitely support and nurture.”
The Vietnamese Bonsai Society, a nonprofit organization based in Garden Grove, Calif., is a 100-plus-member strong organization dedicated to preserving the tradition of bonsai cultivation in the Orange County area. The Vietnamese Bonsai Society workshop will be part of Pacific Media Expo’s Community Programming track.
