New York, NY - The Thai Garment and Leather Goods Sourcing Exhibition, organized by the Department of Export Promotion, the Thai Garment Manufacturers Association, and the Thai Leather Goods Association will present its the first time sourcing show on New York September 6-7, 2005, 10am-6pm.
Thai garment and leather good manufacturers will fill the Ballroom at the Holiday Inn Martinique on Broadway, New York , presenting the latest trends in garment & leather goods for the Spring/Summer 2006, with merchandise ranging from ready-to-wear men/women/children garments, sportswear, knitwear, lingerie, socks and leather goods.
The fair will feature 40 major Thai garment makers and leather goods. Featured will be the newly developed "T3" young men brand concept, co-designed with Italian fashion consultants.
The Thai Sourcing Expo is a "one-for-all" show that is representative of the variety exhibitors and their products, marked by new trends and flexible designs.
This will be the first New York edition of the show. Each previous exhibition has drawn at least 200 buyers from top US and international design companies, looking to add the "Made in Thailand" label to their garments.
Despite the abolishment of quotas at the end of 2004, the Thai fashion industry overall has seen a 6% growth in exports in the first quarter of 2005.
Thailand exports to US is steadily growing (+8%), and ranks number 11 as the leading import country.
The Thai Garment Manufacturers Association (TGMA) is the leading garment industry association in Thailand, bringing together 2,500 manufacturers of textiles, apparel, carpets, leather, leather wear and ready-to-wear garments.
TGMA members are critical partners and sources for key U.S. and European labels, and continue to produce high-quality goods for world markets at competitive prices. These companies offer flexible payment options from FOB, CIF and LDP to all US wholesale/retailers.
