...and it came, and it was. the phropecy foretold by the seer came to pass. the great face of fate shined upon the land, and scorched her. the faces of man were stoic as they faced that awful day. they hid in corners and closets when her winds howled. they sheltered themselves beneath houses when she cried her pain. and when she had finished her mourning upon the face of the earth, she quieted away. and the people were afraid.
it had been told by the seer that man would be shown his fragile nature; and he would weep for it. none of his devices would prevail. for when he sought his devices, he would seek to prove them, but they would fail. for after fate has shined her sorrow upon the land, those which administered government among the people would go to assess the land. and when it was learned that only the poorest of the land had sustained the most destruction, they returned to the centers of government to inform the others. but they forgot the poor of the land.
then a cry arose. and their cry arose into the skies. but the prayers of those righteous reached God. and those that administered government to the people were ashamed. for they had also forgotten the seer's words, that man would be shown his fragile nature; and he would weep for it. and the seer charged the administers of government; for he said unto them:
"hear now; you that rule and administer government. how is it that you enjoy the benefits of democracy, yet are slow to see about those upon whose very backs your democracy was built? You can no longer hide behind ignorance, for the wrath of fate was seen by all the nations of the world.
and when the seer had exposed the shame of those that ruled and administered government, they returned to the poor of the land, and began to assist the people.
This is only a story fitted around one of our nation's greatest natural disasters. Think of it as an epic description of an epic event. Thanks.
