SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. -- The best demolition derby drivers from across the State will converge in Scottsville, Ky., on Saturday, Sept. 24, to battle it out for bragging rights to see who's the real "King of the Bluegrass" and earn the coveted State Championship crown.
Dennis Harper, event promoter said drivers were expected from Tennessee, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania as well, with $10,000 prize money up for grabs. We have taken steps to make sure that the race will be as fair as possible. The head official hails from Indiana and the other judges work independently, ensuring fair judging for all drivers. The inspection process will be very thorough, while the top three cars will be reinspected. These drivers will be battling it out for bragging rights to see who's the real "King of the Bluegrass" and earn the coveted State Championship crown. We won't tolerate love taps, you either hit hard or go home.
Located in Allen County, Ky., proceeds from the event will benefit the Allen County Jaycees.
