Barbara Ann has been published over 2000 times in local newspapers and international magazines.
HC Derksen began recording his own music two years ago and has developed a following among Christians who enjoy contemporary gospel and country gospel music. He has played guitar since he was 13 years of age. He will be among the artists performing in a three-hour concert scheduled for September 23rd at 6 p.m. at the Johnson City Fairgrounds. This concert, like the book fair, is open and free to the public.
Here is what some people say about Second to None and Mind Trap:
Second to None is a wonderful piece of work. It is so compelling and moving. Many war books are so bogged down in the military strategy but this book is all about humanity in the midst of war. Raw, real, and gut wrenching, SECOND TO NONE brings the battlefront to life. Told in the words of 54 Korean War veterans, the book chronicles green recruits evolving into battle-weary warriors. These stories of courage, loss, friendship, and faith memorialize the sacrifices of America’s finest. Dana Taylor, Definitely Dana Radio Show
Mind Trap begins with an impact, which demolishes the fantasy of the character’s harmonious home life. There is a noteworthy element to this book, which becomes evident in the telling of the story. It is the gifted accomplishment of the MIND TRAP, which walks the reader through the main character’s hellish crisis, all the while holding onto a faith in a loving God that carries her to the fascinating and enlightened ending." Martha G Pearson -writer, teacher, and former president of NW Indiana Writer’s Association.
