September 12, 2005 - Rainbow Creatures (www.rainbowcreatures.com) have announced their latest game - B.I.R.D. In this arcade game you control a little birdie, trying to avoid rocks thrown at you by the bad boys. What makes this game unique is the concept of gameplay-the riskier you avoid the more you are rewarded.
The game is divided into 3 environments(spring, winter, desert), each with its own graphics and enemies. Speaking of environments, they are all hand-drawn in great and funny pixel graphics, rarely seen in shareware games. As a little birdie, you fly through those 3 environments, 30 levels, facing bad boys that try to slow you down from your rescue-operation. Most enemies throw rocks or other objects at you - and here comes the essence of the game. The closer and more rocks you avoid, the better the reward. The source of getting most score to pass the score limit is hidden in avoiding. The avoidance rewarding system gives you unlimited combinations of fun and adrenaline, letting you to become master at avoiding, level by level. For fun, you can throw your "natural ammo" at the enemies, from which you get bonus points as well, including their sad faces as additional reward.
B.I.R.D. features great music and funny sounds that both dive you right into the game. While flying through winter levels you will feel winter coming from your computer! 3 minigames are nicely incorporated into the game story. For example, in winter minigame, you, as good boy, try to wake up freezing birds by pouring warm water on them. And of course bonuses - you can get many of them, some speeding up the game, some reversing your keyboard controls, making the gameplay more variable.
