September 12, 2005 (Press Release) --
www.travelandtransitions.com educates and encourages visitors with quality articles and interviews on how to explore new horizons, to get out there and discover the world - locally and abroad, to connect with people from different cultures and to open themselves up to new experiences. In addition to providing practical money-saving tips and destination information, this website intends to foster tolerance and understanding for people from other places and other cultures.
Travel and Transitions publisher Susanne Pacher recently hosted a group of European travelers, including her brother and sister-in-law from Austria. During a period of nine days she had a chance to introduce her visitors to Toronto and showed them the city in a variety of driving and walking tours as well on a bicycle. Toronto is an incredibly diverse city with a multitude of ethnic neighbourhoods and colourful local markets; it also features a stunning downtown business district, presided over by the CN Tower; and a large variety of green spaces and recreational areas along the waterfront, as well as along Toronto’s major rivers and the ravines that criss-cross the city.
In a series of articles you can read about the experiences of four first-time European visitors who had never been to North America. Detailed stories, including photos, of their urban and rural adventures can be found at: http://www.travelandtransitions.com/insights/post_toronto_reflections.htm
