(Wild Rose Elementary School, Monrovia, CA – September 12, 2005) The Wisdom Tree Native American Storytelling Program is coming to Wild Rose Elementary School, 232 Jasmine Avenue, Monrovia (626) 471-2500 on Thursday, October 13, 2005, at 7:00 p.m. Wild Rose opens at 6:00 for a "bring your own dinner" family picnic. The Wild Rose PTA will also be having a bake sale. The pre-show begins at 6:45. Please bring blankets to sit on – chairs will damage the playing filed.
The San Gabriel Valley Community is invited to share an evening of Native American dance, live music, storytelling, and ventriloquism. This program is entertaining, educational, and an inspiration for all ages. Through the delicate weaving of Storytelling, live music of Native American Flutes, Drums and audience participation, The Wisdom Tree opens the minds, imaginations and the curiosity of all people as they listen to stories of Native American legends and the wonders of nature that will help them gain respect, understanding and friendship toward each other and the world around them.
After the Wisdom Tree presentation, everyone is invited to create Native American crafts for a small fee. Flutes, CDs, Dream Catchers, Buffalo Tooth necklaces, and other Native American Crafts will also be available for purchase.
