About Larry Louie:
EDMONTON, CANADA – Larry Louie is a practicing optometrist based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. His love for photography and travel has taken him across the world from the majestic Rocky Mountains of Alberta to ancients ruins of Mexico, Guatemala, Peru, Easter Island, Egypt, Turkey, China, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, and Vietnam. His images of the “Women of Sapa, Images of Northern Vietnam” was awarded 1st Place in the non-professional Travel & Tourism category in the 2005 IPA Photography of the Year Award.
He was also awarded placed and honorable mentions for the following series of images: Women of Northern India (Hon. Mention, People: Culture), Historic Temples of Southeast Asia (Placed & Hon. Mention, Historic Architecture), Women of Sapa, Northern Vietnam (1st Place, Travel & Tourism; Hon. Mention, People : Culture), Children of the World (Hon.
