Chris Miles, 35, founder and president of Miles Technologies, conceptualized the Young Entrepreneur of Southern New Jersey award program with the Entrepreneurs Forum of Southern New Jersey, of which Miles Technologies is a founding member.
Boomerang is located in a 70,000-square-foot former brake plant in Washington Township, Gloucester County. The company was established in 2001 and, as of May 2005, employed 12 people and reported gross sales of $5 million to $10 million and regional sales in the range of more than $1 million. The company is privately owned.
