Pacific Rainforest Adventure Tours, a very unique Eco tour company who offers non-strenuous sightseeing nature tours on Vancouver Island especially designed for seniors and families has a exciting new wildlife viewing & First Nations culture tour for the Fall of 2005.
This is a day trip where you can experience one of the wildest places on the planet on a cultural marine & wildlife viewing tour, from Parksville to North Island and then mainland inlets by comfortable 34 foot boat, for the ultimate in wildlife viewing opportunities of grizzly and black bear, eagle, whale and other wildlife and seabirds. A First Nation guide takes us to ancient village sites and middens where he explains the meanings of some petrogylphs and other aspects of Kwakwaka’waka culture.
It is an educational and fun tour suitable for all ages.
Tours includes commentary, snacks, hearty picnic lunch, use of spotting scope and binoculars. Rainwear is also provided if necessary.
Owner-Operator guides Gary & Ronda Murdock share their detailed knowledge of flora, fauna and history of this amazing region. Gary Murdock has 35 years experience with the B.C. Forest Service, and partner Ronda’s interests include First Nation studies, history and birding. Both are members of the Arrowsmith Naturalists and are involved in local conservation efforts.
