September 20, 2005 (Press Release) --
BOOK DESCRIPTION
Living With Depression is a frank and honest account of the author's battle as he attempts to live his life and struggle with depression at the same time. The author invites the reader into his world; into his mind, and guides the reader through his childhood, into life at school, early adulthood, and finally reaching university.
This is not one of the multitude of books dealing with medical theory or professional opinion of the subject of depression. It is not, and does not claim to help or solve the mindfield of depression. It shows the life of an ordinary person; somebody who you may pass on the street, and how he has to deal with depression.
The chapters are in chronalogical order; starting with his earliest memories and ending up with the author having to move back to his parents house. Towards the end of the book, there are chapters on the author's expericences with dealing with suicide and a chapter on his memories of talking to counsellors and pychiatrists.
The book highlights the author's struggles, but also underlines that there is hope for all those who suffer from depression.
