October 4, 2005 (Press Release) --
Amman, Jordan (October 2005) – The faculty and staff of Princess University for Technology (PSUT) welcomed the newest members of the student body - the class of 2009 - during a number of special Orientation programs designed to facilitate a smooth transition from high school to college life.
Prof. Hisham Ghassib, president of PSUT, gave this semester’s first college convocation at the campus garden to welcome the new students, during which he stated, "At PSUT you will not just study knowledge. You will create knowledge that has potential to transform the world around us. Our university has attained outstanding achievements over the recent years in terms of its alumni, advanced engineering and ICT learning, and its remarkable faculty and staff."
Prof. Ghassib added, "In the pursuit of perfection, we will expect no less from you on and off campus. You are now officially PSUT students, and we expect that you carry that title with dignity and pride exemplifying excellence everywhere you go. My doors are always open, so come in and let me know what’s on your mind."
During the gathering, the new students were briefed on PSUT’s rules, regulations, policies, as well as those which the Students’ Affairs Council additionally implements, governing all aspects of student life, from academic to extra-curricular activities. Following the reception, the new students were escorted by members of the Student Council on a guided tour of the PSUT campus.
