October 4, 2005 (Press Release) --
CSA Foundation, Inc., would like to invite you to our 3rd Annual Corvettes Against Breast Cancer Drive (CABCR) on Saturday, October 8, 2005. CABCR is our signature event that is dedicated to raising the awareness of the fight against breast cancer. The event can be divided into three major categories: (1) the caravan, (2) a car show (or other enthusiast activities) and raffles, and (3) breast cancer survivors, health screeners, and speakers to provide information about this disease.
In 2003, the foundation held its first annual CABCR event which drew approximately 50 Corvette owners/cars to participate in a caravan of Corvettes from Duluth, GA to Turner Field. In 2004, our second year, we doubled the number of cars to 100. Atlanta Motor Speedway joined our cause and became the launching point for the caravan and the event raised over $20,000 in cash and in-kind donations. Our third annual event will be on Saturday, October 8, 2005. We are expecting at least 150-200 cars to join us!
All proceeds benefit breast cancer survivor groups. The track laps will begin at 7:00am and the car show/auto cross will begin at 10:00am. All the cars will be displaying pink ribbons. It will be an AWESOME site to see 150-200 Corvettes come together to raise awareness on the fight against breast cancer. Our website address is www.csafoundation.org. Please visit if you require additional information to include contacts.
