October 4, 2005 (Press Release) --
Cliff Lake Records Presents WaterSound. The Album. This Intelligent Art/Pop release is certain to bring the Spoken word Genre t a new level. The first track, "Angel of Flight" opens with a man's view as he is running to jump off of a cliff. He has the belief that the girl bside him will catch him, because she said so. A suicide story, one might think, But, within this work, the tracks are emotional charged with romantic notions and people can be saved. A bit old fashioned from the description, however the stylish music and production elements bring this to a contemporary piece of craftsmanship. WaterSound is an eclectic
mix of electronic/rock with pop effectiveness and a haunting vocal style which is likend to Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters, David Bowie and Tom Waits.
An Album with a statement. The song "The Good Girl" is a story around a single mother who ventures to keep her son on a good path. A rarely addressd topic; memorable, heartwarming.
"We're Home" is an epic electronic pop powerhouse, with childhood love emotions stadling the Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk style layers. "Delusional"
A walk through what it might be like to become seperated, the day the note is on the table. This song is the #1 most bitter break up song of all time in spoen word on Garageband.com, where musicians vote other musicians to the top.
Each song on the WaterSound album is different to the point that a listener can rarely detect that this is the same artist throughout. This is one man, playing all of the instruments, all of the vocals, production and some serious writing. Everything is so Different. Everything is strong and vibrant, like a very good movie.
