11-OCT-2005, LOS ANGELES—On National Coming Out Day October 11, 2005, OutoftheClosetTelevision.com launches its new free video streaming service for mobile devices found at www.ootc.tv.
After 5 years of video programming for the Internet, OutoftheClosetTelevision.com has launched the world's first free Internet mobile gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) video companion website allowing anyone in the world to watch 'pocket videos' on their mobile devices. Out of the Closet Television's offering includes music videos, movie trailers, celebrity interviews and full-length feature films just like those on OutoftheClosetTelevision.com. In the coming months, OutoftheClosetTelevision.com will produce exclusive youth programming for the Internet. "We have teamed up with The Trevor Project here in Los Angeles. Our new youth programming promises to answer many questions for GLBT youth," reports OOTC Owner/Producer Ted Trent. The Trevor Project is currently casting gay youth to host the show, two to six queer young people (ages 13 to 21) who are willing to go on camera for a series of online spots being developed for online distribution. In these spots, teens will express their opinions on how to face the common issues that queer teens face, such as religion, coming out, family, etc. Interested parties should contact: Andy Scheer, Program and Special Events Manager of The Trevor Project at 310-271-8845 or andy.scheer@thetrevorproject.org.
In 2006 OutoftheClosetTelevision.com will introduce its new Internet series called, "Boystown." This episodic program traces the lives of 7 gay men who are placed in a Hollywood mansion for 14 consecutive days. The group also visits a company club where lesbian comedian Jen Slusser puts a lesbian twist on the events for the evening.
Out of the Closet® Television (www.OutoftheClosetTelevision.com) is the largest provider of original gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and gay curious (GLBT+)-themed broadband video programming on the Internet. The company’s mission is to entertain, educate, and enrich all people about our diverse world, through the internet presentation of documentaries, feature films, celebrity interviews, feature stories, and episodic programming to enroll worldwide audiences to watch.
