SAN DIEGO, CA - Diane Worthington will host a new radio talk program celebrating California Food and Wine on the World Talk Radio network beginning October 26, 2005. Diane, who is the author of the best-selling The Cuisine of California chronicling modern California cooking has been called” The Queen of California Cuisine” by Matt Lauer of The Today Show. Her latest book from Chronicle The New California Cook will be published in the spring of 2006.

The California Cook is an updated version of Diane’s James Beard Award Winning radio show that broadcast on KABC TalkRadio in Los Angeles. Listeners will have a chance to intereact with experts in the food and wine world while learning about Diane’s picks and recommendations for kitchen equipment, books, wine, restaurants and travel spots that have a culinary emphasis. She’ll interview chefs from resorts and restaurants that all have one thing in common: the freshest produce, a collective desire to create dishes from their area and interesting techniques which all add up to one delicious schmoozefest.

Worthington is the author of 17 cookbooks, including Seriously Simple, American Bistro, The Taste of Summer and The California Cook. She is a James Beard Award-winning broadcaster who trained at the London Cordon Bleu. Her latest book The Taste of the Season focuses on recipes that fit easily into everyday lives using the harvests of autumn to turn cooler days and longer nights into cozy and rewarding home-dining experiences.
