This international exhibition links manufacturers and distributors of musical instruments and complementary equipment, accessories and products with importers, wholesalers and retailers in the Middle East, North Africa and the subcontinent
The exhibition, organized by In Time Events (ITE), a Dubai based event management company that has launched three successful exhibitions in the past year, is the Middle East’s only exhibition dedicated to musical instruments.
The inaugural event, which featured more that 60 exhibitors representing 12 countries was held in May 2005 and attracted more than 2200 visitors.
“We have secured a larger hall for the Dubai Musica 2006 exhibition, as we are anticipating an increase in demand for exhibition space” says Reza Majd, the event manager coordinating the 2006 event, adding that more than 2100 square metres of prime exhibition space is available.
Last year’s event attracted significant participation from European Manufacturers of musical instruments with 18 companies from Germany. Majd said that he anticipates a strong presence from Europe as well as a strong interest from Asia based companies.
“Traditional musical instruments, including pianos, stringed instruments such as guitars, brass, woodwind and percussion instruments are the mainstay, however we will be delighted to showcase folkloric instruments common to specific cultures as well”, notes Majd adding that, companies that specialise in parts, accessories and servicing of musical instruments would also benefit from participating at the exhibition
The exhibition will be extensively marketed through out the region to attract importers, wholesalers and retailers who want to enhance their product lines. As the Gulf region’s general population continues to expand rapidly, the demand for quality music instruments expands as well
