Hot CD Compilation Includes Some of America’s Brightest New Female Recording Artists
For_Immediate_Release:

October 19, 2005 (Press Release) -- Miami and L.A.-based singer/songwriter Laura Bradley has been selected by Warrior Girl Music for participation in the second edition of FEMALES ON FIRE, a compilation double CD showcasing the works of some of America’s most promising emerging female artists.

Bradley’s song SKIN, slated for inclusion on the showcase disc, comes from her new CD STORM, recently released by indie label Street Beat Records and distributed by KOCH. SKIN is presently in rotation in the US radio market on hot A/C radio.

The FEMALES ON FIRE series is described by producers as “a celebration of talented female artists….delivering songs in a tapestry of different genres & styles of music dedicated to messages empowering femininity, human equality, love, communication and vitality.”

Bradley has crafted a sound described by one veteran radio programming executive as “haunting, languid and lush.” Evocative of Sarah McLachlan and Amy Lee of Evanescence, Bradley’s classical three-octave range blends with a distinctive pop sensibility. SKIN will also be heard in the soundtrack of the upcoming feature film Right Love, Wrong Time, a Silver Heart Production.

Bradley has preformed in a wide array of venues from jazz clubs on South Beach to Fort Lauderdale’s rock clubs to the Miami music festival scene. She recently opened for ‘70’s favorite Ambrosia in L.A. and Colin Hay of Men at Work in Miami.

Born in Toronto and raised in Miami, much of Bradley’s music reflects the multicultural South Florida community. To learn more about Laura Bradley, please visit www.laurabradley.com.

Launched in August 2005 at a mini-music festival at the MINT in L.A., the first FEMALES ON FIRE CD compilation introduced thirty talented female artists and their songs to the world.
Promotional distribution includes music supervisors (film and television), music publishers, national music conferences and seminars, record labels, the media (print and radio), producers, and artists looking for songs.

Founded by recording artist, songwriter and entrepreneur, Gilli Moon, Warrior Girl Music is a creative arts company dedicated to producing quality events and productions featuring a diverse blend of music, art and language for the showcasing of rising talent from around the world.
