October 20, 2005 (Press Release) --
The National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO) will sponsor its second annual Get Organized MonthSM in January 2006.
Get Organized Month is an annual event dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits of getting organized and of hiring a professional organizer. NAPO President Barry Izsak comments, “January is the perfect month to hold Get Organized Month. People often make getting organized one of their New Year’s resolutions. Now there is help. NAPO professional organizers are available during Get Organized Month and year-round to help people reach their organizing goals.”
Get Organized Month 2006 once again will involve the entire organizing industry. NAPO members and chapters will provide local programs on organization, while NAPO associate members and industry partners will help raise awareness among their customers. Brochures will be mailed and distributed through retail stores to promote the benefits of organization, which include increased productivity, improved quality of life, reduced stress, and time-and-money savings.
NAPO professional organizers last year provided organizing services to more than 70,000 residential and commercial clients. Organizing services ranged from home and business organizing to information and time management to coaching, training, and more. Benefits of getting organized include
• At Home
— Bring order, calm, and control to home and family life.
— Save money by organizing bills, shopping, and clothing.
— Get more done in less time.
— Put the house in order so you can find what you need—and need what you find!
• At Work
— Bring structure, logic, and control to the organization, at any level.
— Optimize workflow to increase productivity, reduce stress, and heighten profitability.
— Build companywide systems or define responsibilities for a single employee.
— Motivate the team with real solutions to the everyday or ongoing challenges of too much to do, changing priorities, and information overload.
To help members of the public find a professional organizer, NAPO offers a free automated referral network searchable by ZIP code and organizing specialty. The service is available at www.napo.net, “Find an Organizer.”
Several companies who serve the organizing industry have joined NAPO to celebrate Get Organized Month. NAPO wishes to thank its Industry Partners, who will help spread the word to the public on the benefits of being organized: Esselte/Pendaflex, GarageTek, Hemphill Productivity Institute, ORG, Smead, and Snapware.
NAPO, celebrating 20 years as The Organizing Authority®, is the premier national association dedicated to the field of organizing. With more than 3,300 members, NAPO’s purpose is to share information about this growing industry and to define quality standards for the organizing profession.
