Lisbon, October 04, 2005 – The independent hotel chain ARTEH – Hotels and Resorts presents a unique circuit in its hotels in France, Spain, Continental Portugal and Madeira.

October 31, 2005 (Press Release) -- Quinta das Lágrimas is the perfect refuge for a tranquil and romantic break. Located in the ancient city of Coimbra, it is a special place, replete with legends and history, like the romantic legend of Pedro and Inês. Pedro was the Prince Dom Pedro, son of D. Afonso IV, the King of Portugal and the queen Dona Beatriz. Inês was Inês de Castro, Daughter of D. Pedro de Castro, noble warrior from Galicia, and the great granddaughter of D. Sancho IV of Castela.
The Palace, built in the 18th century, and currently transformed into a hotel is a landmark that should be visited with superb interiors and elegant decor, it is comfortable and welcoming.
The gardens were conceived as a Museum of Vegetables which gathers together an exceptional variety of plant species from all over the world, some of which are very rare.
The kitchen, run by one of the best chefs in the world, is inspired by the centuries old culinary traditions of the Quinta and the recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation.
The SPA, using exotic flowers and plants from the Quinta’s Botanical garden is the perfect retreat to restore the balance of body and mind. Here, one can choose from a wide range of options: Lotus, Massages, Ayurveda, Relaxation, Reiki and Shiatsu.

New SPAs in 2007
In 2007, this service will be extended to the Vila Monte Resort, in Moncarapacho, Algarve, Portugal, the De las Letras H&R, in Madrid, Spain, and the Barceló La Bobadilla, in Loja-Granada, Spain, with new SPA facilities. The latter will open in the 2nd quarter of 2007.
