Applied Language Solutions are pleased to announce that they have won the contract for translastion for UNIDO's annual report
For_Immediate_Release:

November 2, 2005 (Press Release) -- Applied Language Solutions are proud to announce that they have been awarded a contract to translate the Industrial Development Report 2005 for the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation - UNIDO.

The contract award comes after Applied Language successful tendered for the 115,000 word translations from English into French and Spanish. The report is UNIDO’s flagship publication and addresses two key questions. Why have developing countries narrowed the gap with more advanced countries? And what strategies should they adopt to help this gap in the future?
To ensure the project is accurate and completed to UNIDO’s tight schedule, of only 20 working days, Applied Language’s dedicated project management team will manage every aspect of the job, from quality control to delivery. This is achieved by using the ISO9001 quality framework, which means that every aspect of the project is monitored and checked and reported.
In their successful tender Applied Language demonstrated that their translators had the required expertise in translating text which deals with economic and development issues and had the required skills to produce translated word documents which also include tables and figures. As part of the tender process UNIDO where presented with test translations and CV’s from several translators, on this evidence they then selected the translators they thought most appropriate to complete the project.

“We are very excited and proud to have been awarded this contract by UNIDO. Their work is vital to aid the development of countries around the world and we are very pleased that we can help their message be communicated.” Said Gavin Wheeldon Applied Language’s Managing Director.
