Marlo Boux is a small business coach that partners specifically with entrepreneurial moms who wish to use biblical principles as a guidepost in their home-based business and family life. She was determined to stay home with her own children and still financially provide for her family. After spending seven years in the counseling profession, she made the switch to coaching and started a corporation. She quickly realized that there were literally thousands of moms across North America trying to make ends meet by working from home – but that they could never afford the services of a much-needed coach.
“During my coach training, it was repeatedly stated that you should never compromise your asking price with a client. The idea being that doing so would devalue your services. When I initially set up my fee schedule, I kept these business principles in mind and determined my fees according to my educational background, experience, and the cost of doing business alone. I didn’t anticipate so many women working from home that were involved in ready-made direct sales positions through established work-from-home businesses. These women were in no position financially to afford a coach. One evening I awoke at 4:00 am to attend to my infant daughter and Holy Spirit had a message for me: your job is to advance God’s Kingdom by supporting moms working from home, leave the bottom line to me.” In being obedient to Him, she immediately changed her business strategy.
