November 5, 2005 (Press Release) --
www.travelandtransitions.com educates and encourages visitors with quality articles and interviews on how to explore new horizons, to get out there and discover the world - locally and abroad, to connect with people from different cultures and to open themselves up to new experiences. In addition to providing practical money-saving tips and destination information, this website intends to foster tolerance and understanding for people from other places and other cultures.
Travel and Transitions publisher Susanne Pacher recently went on a local exploration tour to discover places just east of the Toronto city limits. The communities of Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa are part of Toronto’s populous suburbs and all 4 communities are located on the shores of Lake Ontario and share a continuous lakefront recreational trail.
The Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail is a 740 km long recreational trail that stretches from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Brockville, linking peaceful countryside with small towns and big cities. It offers plentiful opportunities for walking, biking and rollerblading and is an ideal short-distance getaway for Toronto residents. For complete coverage including photos of this travel experience please visit http://www.travelandtransitions.com/stories_photos/hello_waterfront_trail.htm.
