The idea of the million pound gallery is that 1,000,000 pixels are available to advertise peoples websites. The pixels are for sale at £0.50 each. The site was launched on the 5th of November 2005 and pixels are already going quickly.
The interest generated so far has been way above the my expectation but I think that making the pixels available for UK customers has been the initiative responsible for the site receiving so many hits. I was truly amazed by my first sales.
It is so easy to add your company logo to the page with a link to your website, it takes less than two minutes. Once added your image is guaranteed to be on the gallery for 5 years at least.
There are several copycat sites so far but none with any motivation for people to subscribe to.
They lack quality and ideas.
