ManiaTV! To Air Final Interview With Bayside Drummer John Holohan
DENVER, CO – November 10, 2005, -- ManiaTV! (www.ManiaTV.com), the world’s first live 24/7 Internet Television Network, will feature the band Bayside (www.BaysideRocks.com) on Artist of the Day and Myspace Mixtape. Bayside recently visited the ManiaTV! studios for an interview the day before their drummer John “Beatz” Holohan was killed in an automobile accident.
At the time, the band was on the “Never Sleep Again” Tour, which includes their friends and Victory Record label mates Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein and Aiden.
The Bayside Artist of the Day interview will air Monday November 14th, 2005 at 2pm and 8pm EST. ManiaTV! will be educating viewers throughout the day about the John Holohan Memorial fund while encouraging donations from its worldwide audience.
In addition, the remaining members of the band will be conducting a phone interview during the ManiaTV! original program Myspace Mixtape 7pm EST. The show will be comprised of a one hour “mixtape” of music videos chosen by the band, with the phone interview immediately following.
“The entire ManiaTV! staff would like to express our deepest condolences and support to the friends and family of Bayside's John 'Beatz' Holohan,” said Stefan Goldby, Head of Music Programming, ManiaTV! Networks. “As well as supporting his memorial fund, we feel that the best way to pay tribute to John is by completing the feature on him and his band that we were working on at the time of his tragic death, so that all of us can remember him and his music."
Victory Records owner Tony Brummel commented, “John Beatz was an integral part of Victory’s Artist Family. He was a gifted, caring and special human being. He epitomized that NYC, street-smart, rock musician flair in everything he did. As a Chicago guy, I always felt like I was communicating with a brother from another neighborhood on the other side of one big city. He made the music. I got it into the stores and helped make people aware that it existed. John was the type of Artist that I always wanted to fight for. He was appreciative and wanted to win not only for himself, but, more importantly, for the team. His phone calls and daily e-mail updates were always a reminder as to why I am in this business. I will miss them. Every time I heard from him he told me that he was “having the time of his life.” He played every show like it would be his last. None of us were ready for that show to end. The “Beatz” will go on and will never be forgotten.”
