November 13, 2005 (Press Release) --
I am a freelance author from Tarpum Bay, Eleuthera, Bahamas. I have published six books to date and I continue to write screen plays, poetry and novels. Writing is a full time passion for me and I know I have much material and interesting knowledge to share with the world.
You can view my latest three published books here: http://people.lulu.com/users/index.php?fHomepage=232433
Three additional novels are sold through www.amazon.com you may do a search there for george major or, "Romance,Kalik and Conch Salad" and "Blood On The Empire," and "Turtle Soup Theory," which is a book of poetry.
My latest project has been an eight month journey in writing both the novel and the screen play entitled," Meeting Mona Lisa." This story is a classic romance novel that takes place in Nassau, Bahamas and Eleuthera. It is a potential best seller reminiscent of Terry McMillans," How Stella Got Her Groove Back." The difference is that it is written from the perspective of an Island boy. In the novel is depicted, their romance, various scenes including the city of Nassau and the island of Eleuthera. No doubt Bahamian history, culture and history are discussed and appear in these books.
My screen play short entitled," Incident at Lighthouse Beach," is like my other books and materials awaiting the representation of a good literary agent.
I would like to contribute some of my material for your editorial purposes wherever you might wish to promote and use it I can give you the permission to do so.
I also rent a building that I own here and I run a restaurant called," Papa George's Pizza."
I am seeking an outlet to put my stories, poetry and screen plays into the media. I would like for you to share your interest in such material with me and inform me of any renumeration that might be derived from such a relationship.
I am willing and ready to contribute for the public good of publicising the island of Eleuthera, the Bahamas and my native village, Tarpum Bay.
There is much more left in me and I have just hit the tip of the iceberg in my writing. I know that there are som many more Bahamian, Eleutherian stories to tell.
I would like some support and assistance from you to further my contribution to the literary genre of the Bahamas.
Please inform me of what ways you might be willing and able to assist me in meeting my goals in the literary arena.
Thank you,
Yours truly,
George Major
