International Charting Artist Added To Roster
For_Immediate_Release:

November 16, 2005 (Press Release) -- Jet Speed Records is proud to introduce Ray Lani to the label. He will be coming to L.A. to finish his new album and record a brand new song, “I’m Comin’ After Your Love”, in December. His debut release with Jet Speed, entitled “I Know,” is set to come out in February of 2006.
Ray has been one of the top artists in radio “play lists” for many countries internationally, including the United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand and Austria, to name a few. From June 2005 to October 2005, he has been in the “most played” radio charts overall for major and indie artists, and on the international country music charts as well.

His songs, “I Know”(a little nothin’ ‘bout somethin’), and “It’s All Because Of You”, won runner-up spots in a song contest in August 2005.

An experienced working artist from Long Island, Ray Lani blends country and pop together to create his own unique style. He writes his own lyrics and music. Plus he does all of his own arrangements. He will take an idea that will spark him first and then put it to words and music. Or take a melody first and then add lyrics. He can write songs that are very melodic, but also have depth and meaning. He started his musical career by picking up a guitar at 13 and has been playing in various bands since he was 15. His seven piece band played countless weddings in the ‘70s, ‘80s and early ‘90s. He still plays in a band and also plays solo.

Some of his major influences include Elvis ( the reason he picked up a guitar), The Beatles, and John Lennon, which made him want to touch the lives of others and be in a band.

He enjoys all kinds of music and it reflects in his songs. This mix of musical influences have created his own individual style. It helps diversify each track, making each one different from the other. There are country/pop/rock, up-tempo and love ballad type songs. And even a touch of blues. While not on this debut album, Ray also writes religious, gospel, and Christian music.

Lyrics are very important in all of his songs. They all mean something to him and hopefully to the listener as well. Writing about life and love, he can touch a broad span of listeners. Ray's feelings are shared in his songs and anyone can feel it in his music.

His philosophy on life involves a balance between work and play, while keeping family and God as his major focus. Ray strives to get his music out to as many people as possible with his future album, “I Know”.

Jet Speed Records welcomes Ray Lani and his talent for song writing and arrangements. We are very excited about his up-coming release.
