November 16, 2005 (Press Release) --
The holiday season means many different things but to a group of San Diego children it’s a reminder of what they’ve never had; a family. The seventh annual CBS special “A Home for the Holidays” features top Hollywood stars and musicians mixed with adoption stories.
The show includes interviews and footage with children of all ages who are waiting to be adopted. This San Diego video production was a mini-movie set involving multiple cameras and a crew of twenty. Kurt Snider and Solana Productions coordinated and shot the segments. Several different formats were used including DV, 24p and Betacam. The edited tape will air as part of a live music segment in the show. Last year’s program featured Gwen Stefani performing.
Children ranged in age from 5 to 15. Their stories were varied but had one thing in common; the desire to leave group homes and foster care behind and finally find a home for the holidays. The special airs on CBS December 21st.
Solana Productions provides award winning video production services for broadcast, cable, corporate and Internet video productions. Visit their website at http://www.solanaproductions.com
