November 17, 2005 (Press Release) --
White-Sobieski uses his work to explore the nature of creativity and the power of the imagination. ‘New York Suite’ is much softer and somewhat sentimental compare to the previous work by the artist. Colored squares and lines in a "Mondrian style" have been recreated in New York Suite. Sheer, bright lavender and dark plum with thin golden stripes, this video animates a sensual effect a sunset or dawn. As the New York sunset disappears, its patterns feature a plaid motif in sophisticated shades of blue, violet and gold.
White-Sobieski has exhibited his work at festivals and in art galleries all over the world. Earlier this summer, his video and photography work, ‘In The Heart Of The Terminal’, was exhibited at the Oliver Houg Gallery in Lyon. He recently received1st prize at the Milan Art Fair in 2003, for his work on Terminal and in November 2005 he created an important instillation work for Louis Vuitton in Paris. He lives and works in New York
