November 17, 2005 (Press Release) --
‘Wrestlestock 2006: Masters of the Mat,’ a weekend event celebrating the high-flying action of backyard wrestling, will take place in July 2006 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, according to event organizers. Any and all backyard wrestlers are encouraged to attend this once-in-a-lifetime spectacular.
Elizabethtown, a small city of 22,542 residents, is just outside the metropolis of Louisville, home to Ohio Valley Wrestling, the Louisville Fire arena football team, the Louisville RiverBats baseball team, and the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom amusement park.
“We are very happy to be able to bring the backyard wrestling phenomenon known as ‘Wrestlestock’ to the Elizabethtown-Louisville area,” said Wrestlestock organizers. “We know the Bluegrass State is a wrestling hotbed and will help make this event the biggest backyard wrestling event of the year 2006.”
‘Wrestlestock 2006: Masters of the Mat’ will be hosted and presented by All Out Wrestling (www.aowrestling.com), based in Rineyville, Kentucky. The event’s sponsor is the Backyard Wrestling Network (www.bywn.com).
