November 19, 2005 (Press Release) --
Reports that Author Jonathan David parted ways with JoNa Books can now be comfirmed to be true according to the author's press-agent. David signed with JoNa Books in September 2004 to re-release his third novel, Motherland, but JoNa Books failed to meet contractual obligations, and David is now actively seeking a new publisher to distribute his work.
Jonathan David, best known for his science-fiction thriller, The Enemy Mind, was somewhat bitter with regard to the failed partnership with JoNa Books. "The re-release of Motherland was anticipated by many of my readers. The initial publication was a disaster, and our intentions were to produce a publication that exceeded expectations. The book is written and edited. The problem was (JoNa Books). It's extremely disappointing that they failed to honor their half of the agreement." David added that he received numerous emails from fans and fellow writers who are experiencing similar complications when trying to purchase from or work with JoNa Books.
Jonathan David is currently seeking representation for not only Motherland, but also the highly anticipated sequel to Lucian Shadow. "The market is thin, but there is interest out there," David was recently quoted to say in an interview with a local newspaper. "The stories will make it to the printing presses and ultimately the book shelves. I have no worries about that."
