November 22, 2005 (Press Release) --
A Houston area man is credited with helping thousands of Hurricane victims return to work, and now is providing some additional holiday help.
Todd Hoffman and his “Tools for Tech’s” program has been collecting tools from businesses and individuals all across the country, placing them into sets, and giving them to hurricane victims so they can return to work.
In addition to distributing tools, Hoffman will be providing smoked turkeys to the Waveland/Bay St Louis areas of Mississippi, one of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina, on Wednesday November 23rd.
“Businesses in the hurricane affected areas are just now getting to a point where they can reopen, but without the necessary tools, the employees can not return to work. Our program provides these tools.” stated Hoffman, who then went on to say, “Many of these people are still left without power. The smoked Turkeys will let them enjoy a day of Thanksgiving while letting them know that we are still supporting them through this disaster”.
Hoffman is asking for donations of cash and tools to help ensure all of the people affected by the recent storms will have the ability to return to work. “By providing the tools they need, we are giving them the opportunity to rebuild their lives and share the dream of a prosperous new year with the rest of us” proclaimed Hoffman.
The “Tools For Tech’s” program is a project of Scene Of The Accident, Inc, a non-profit 501(C)3 Corporation in which Hoffman is the Executive Director. All donations are Tax Deductible and go directly into the program to help hurricane victims.
