November 24, 2005 (Press Release) --
Oxford UK – Adestra, the UK-based email marketing agency, today announces a business partnership with digital magazine experts Applecart Solutions to be the exclusive provider of email distribution of their digital magazines in the UK.
For the first time, publishers can now work with the respective experts to launch a digital magazine strategy. The relationship enables Applecart’s publisher clients – such as EMAP, RBI, Haymarket and Informa - to simply and easily create digital magazines as well as broadcasting them to audiences which can be independently audited.
The partnership will allow existing and future customers of both companies to benefit from:
• Digital magazine expertise: Applecart’s experiences of introducing digital magazines into the UK and working with companies including EMAP, RBI, Haymarket, Informa
• Digital magazine technology: Applecart’s e-edition systems provide publishers with the tools necessary to capitalise on the value of their brands in a user-friendly application that requires no software download.
• Email distribution knowledge: the latest issues of digital magazines will be delivered through Adestra’s email systems allowing high deliverability, accurate reporting and expert input based upon the experiences of working with publishers including informa, Janes, Blackwells and more
• Fully auditable email audiences: circulations of digital magazines can be fully audited to enable controlled circulation models with third party accreditation by companies including the BPA
• Industry representation: Senior members of both companies are actively involved in PPA (Periodical Publishers Association) [Dominic Duffy, MD of Applecart is marketing chair of the PPA’s Pass4Press committee] and UK NEPA (Newsletters and Electronic Publisher’s Association).
Henry Hyder-Smith, Managing Director of Adestra comments: “This partnership is a natural fit. Adestra already works with a number of publishers to fully satisfy their email marketing requirements. Many see digital magazines as the future of the industry, and to expand our offering to include them is the logical next step.”
Dominic Duffy, Managing Director of Applecart adds: “Applecart is committed to providing publishers with digital magazine solutions that work in sympathy with their brands. From commercial strategy and deciding on business models, through to the nuts and bolts of distributing the latest issue, our organisation seeks to provide publishers with the complete bespoke e-publishing package. I am delighted to be partnering with Adestra - a company that plainly understands the needs of publishers.”
