Jinder K. Chohan has been producing pageants for 15 continuous years – making her prestigious pageants the longest running South Asian pageants in America by a female. She was the first to create and produce a Mr. India pageant in the WORLD (even before India did a MR. pageant). Jinder started the successful trend of Mr. India pageants, as she has the oldest Mr. India pageant in the world. She was also the first to create and produce a Mrs. India pageant- outside of India.
Past celebrities at Jinder’s pageants have been Ashok Amritraj (Hollywood Executive Producer of ‘BRINGING DOWN THE HOUSE’, ‘RAISING HELEN’, ‘WALKING TALL’, ‘ORIGINAL SIN’ and many others), Subhash Ghai (Top Bollywood Showman), International Fashion Designer Anand Jon, International Supermodel Saira Mohan, Shekhar Kapur (Oscar Nominated Director of Hollywood movie “Elizabeth”), Deepak Nayar (Producer of Bend It Like Beckam) to name a few.
You must be of South Asian origin (at least one parent), but can be living any where around the world. South Asian countries include: India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. Contestants for Miss South Asia 2006 must be single & at least 18 years old. Miss Teen South Asia 2006 must be a teenager (13-17). Mr. South Asia 2006 can be single or married & at least 18 years old. Mrs. South Asia 2006 must be married & at least 18 years old.
